Deshun is best known as the first black
female high altitude mountaineer in the
world. She has climbed some of the
world’s most challenging peaks under the
most gruesome conditions. “Life is a lot
like climbing a mountain, we each have
our own personal Everest to summit
daily.”
Deshum uses her mountaineering
adventures to inspire others to push
their boundaries and overcome obstacles.
“I always tend to push myself to
impossible limits. I start on the
premise that ‘what I don’t know, I can
learn’.”
